Human SELPLG qPCR Primer Set – selectin P ligand
Also known as: CD162, CLA, PSGL-1, PSGL1
About this gene: SELPLG encodes a glycoprotein that acts as a high affinity counter-receptor for the cell adhesion molecules P-, E- and L- selectin expressed on myeloid cells and stimulated T lymphocytes. As such, this protein plays a critical role in leukocyte trafficking during inflammation by tethering of leukocytes to activated platelets or endothelia expressing selectins. The SELPLG protein requires two post-translational modifications, tyrosine sulfation and the addition of the sialyl Lewis x tetrasaccharide to its O-linked glycans, for its high-affinity binding activity.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6404; HGNC ID: HGNC:10722; UniProt: Q14242; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003006.4; Chromosome location: 12q24.11
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
