Human SELP qPCR Primer Set – selectin P

Also known as: CD62, CD62P, GMP140, GRMP, LECAM3, PADGEM, PSEL

About this gene: SELP encodes a 140 kDa protein that is stored in the alpha-granules of platelets and Weibel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells. The SELP protein redistributes to the plasma membrane during platelet activation and degranulation and mediates the interaction of activated endothelial cells or platelets with leukocytes. The membrane protein is a calcium-dependent receptor that binds to sialylated forms of Lewis blood group carbohydrate antigens on neutrophils and monocytes.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6403; HGNC ID: HGNC:10721; UniProt: P16109; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003005.4; Chromosome location: 1q24.2

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
