SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SELE (selectin E, also called LECAM2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SELE qPCR Primer Set – selectin E
Also known as: CD62E, ELAM, ELAM1, ESEL, LECAM2, selectin-e
About this gene: The SELE protein is found in cytokine-stimulated endothelial cells and is believed to be responsible for the accumulation of blood leukocytes at sites of inflammation by mediating the adhesion of cells to the vascular lining. The SELE gene product exhibits structural features such as the presence of lectin- and EGF-like domains followed by short consensus repeat domains that contain 6 conserved cysteine residues. Adhesion molecules participate in the interaction between leukocytes and the endothelium and appear to be involved in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6401; HGNC ID: HGNC:10718; UniProt: P16581; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000450.2; Chromosome location: 1q24.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
