About this gene: SCN8A belongs to the sodium channel alpha subunit gene family. The SCN8A protein forms the ion pore region of the voltage-gated sodium channel. The SCN8A protein is essential for the rapid membrane depolarization that occurs during the formation of the action potential in excitable neurons.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6334; HGNC ID: HGNC:10596; UniProt: Q9UQD0; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001330260.2; Chromosome location: 12q13.13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
