Human SCN7A qPCR Primer Set – sodium voltage-gated channel alpha subunit 7
Also known as: NaG, Nav2.1, Nav2.2, SCN6A
About this gene: SCN7A encodes one of the many voltage-gated sodium channel proteins. For proper functioning of neurons and muscles during action potentials, voltage-gated sodium channels direct sodium ion diffusion for membrane depolarization. This sodium channel protein has some atypical characteristics; the similarity between the human and mouse proteins is lower compared to other orthologous sodium channel pairs.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6332; HGNC ID: HGNC:10594; UniProt: Q01118; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002976.4; Chromosome location: 2q24.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
