Human SCGB1D1 qPCR Primer Set – secretoglobin family 1D member 1

Also known as: LIPA, LPHA, LPNA

About this gene: The SCGB1D1 protein belongs to the lipophilin subfamily, part of the uteroglobin superfamily, and is an ortholog of prostatein, the major secretory glycoprotein of the rat ventral prostate gland. SCGB1D1 product represents one component of a heterodimeric molecule present in human tears whose elution profile is consistent with prostatein, a tetrameric molecule composed of three peptide components in heterodimers. Assuming that human lipophilins are the functional counterparts of prostatein, they may be transcriptionally regulated by steroid hormones, with the ability to bind androgens, other steroids and possibly bind and concentrate estramustine.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10648; HGNC ID: HGNC:18395; UniProt: O95968; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006552.2; Chromosome location: 11q12.3

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
