SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SCG2 (secretogranin II, also called SgII) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SCG2 qPCR Primer Set – secretogranin II
Also known as: CHGC, EM66, SN, SgII
About this gene: The SCG2 protein belongs to the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. Studies in rodents suggest that the full-length protein, secretogranin II, is involved in the packaging or sorting of peptide hormones and neuropeptides into secretory vesicles. The full-length protein is cleaved to produce the active peptide secretoneurin, which exerts chemotaxic effects on specific cell types, and EM66, whose function is unknown.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7857; HGNC ID: HGNC:10575; UniProt: P13521; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003469.5; Chromosome location: 2q36.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
