SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SCD5 (stearoyl-CoA desaturase 5, also called HSCD5) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SCD5 qPCR Primer Set – stearoyl-CoA desaturase 5
Also known as: ACOD4, DFNA79, FADS4, HSCD5, SCD2, SCD4
About this gene: Stearoyl-CoA desaturase is an integral membrane protein of the endoplasmic reticulum that catalyzes the formation of monounsaturated fatty acids from saturated fatty acids. SCD may be a key regulator of energy metabolism with a role in obesity and dislipidemia. Four SCD isoforms, Scd1 through Scd4, have been identified in mouse.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 79966; HGNC ID: HGNC:21088; UniProt: Q86SK9; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001037582.3; Chromosome location: 4q21.22
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
