SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human SCD (stearoyl-CoA desaturase, also called hSCD1) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human SCD qPCR Primer Set – stearoyl-CoA desaturase
Also known as: FADS5, MSTP008, SCD1, SCDOS, hSCD1
About this gene: SCD encodes a enzyme involved in fatty acid biosynthesis, primarily the synthesis of oleic acid. Transcripts of approximately 3.9 and 5.2 kb, differing only by alternative polyadenlyation signals, have been detected.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6319; HGNC ID: HGNC:10571; UniProt: O00767; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005063.5; Chromosome location: 10q24.31
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
