SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ATXN2 (ataxin 2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ATXN2 qPCR Primer Set – ataxin 2
Also known as: ATX2, SCA2, TNRC13
About this gene: ATXN2 belongs to a group of genes that is linked to microsatellite-expansion diseases. The encoded cytoplasmic protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and plasma membrane, is involved in endocytosis, and modulates mTOR signals, modifying ribosomal translation and mitochondrial function. The N-terminal region of the protein contains a polyglutamine tract of 14-31 residues that can be expanded in the pathogenic state to 32-200 residues.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6311; HGNC ID: HGNC:10555; UniProt: Q99700; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001372574.1; Chromosome location: 12q24.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
