Human SAT1 qPCR Primer Set – spermidine/spermine N1-acetyltransferase 1

Also known as: DC21, KFSD, KFSDX, SAT, SLEB19, SSAT, SSAT-1

About this gene: The SAT1 protein belongs to the acetyltransferase family, and is a rate-limiting enzyme in the catabolic pathway of polyamine metabolism. The SAT1 gene product catalyzes the acetylation of spermidine and spermine, and is involved in the regulation of the intracellular concentration of polyamines and their transport out of cells. Defects in SAT1 are linked to keratosis follicularis spinulosa decalvans.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6303; HGNC ID: HGNC:10540; UniProt: P21673; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002970.4; Chromosome location: Xp22.11

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
