Human RPE65 qPCR Primer Set – retinoid isomerohydrolase RPE65
Also known as: BCO3, LCA2, RP20, mRPE65, p63, rd12, sRPE65
About this gene: The RPE65 protein is a component of the vitamin A visual cycle of the retina which supplies the 11-cis retinal chromophore of the photoreceptors opsin visual pigments. The RPE65 gene product belongs to the carotenoid cleavage oxygenase superfamily. All members of this superfamily are non-heme iron oxygenases with a seven-bladed propeller fold and oxidatively cleave carotenoid carbon:carbon double bonds.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6121; HGNC ID: HGNC:10294; UniProt: Q16518; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000329.3; Chromosome location: 1p31.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
