SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human RP2 (RP2 activator of ARL3 GTPase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human RP2 qPCR Primer Set – RP2 activator of ARL3 GTPase
Also known as: DELXp11.3, NM23-H10, NME10, TBCCD2, XRP2
About this gene: The RP2 locus has been implicated as one cause of X-linked retinitis pigmentosa. The predicted gene product shows homology with human cofactor C, a protein involved in the ultimate step of beta-tubulin folding. Progressive retinal degeneration may therefore be due to the accumulation of incorrectly-folded photoreceptor or neuron-specific tubulin isoforms followed by progressive cell death.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6102; HGNC ID: HGNC:10274; UniProt: O75695; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006915.3; Chromosome location: Xp11.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
