Human ROM1 qPCR Primer Set – retinal outer segment membrane protein 1

Also known as: ROM, ROSP1, RP7, TSPAN23

About this gene: ROM1 belongs to a photoreceptor-specific gene family and encodes an integral membrane protein found in the photoreceptor disk rim of the eye. The ROM1 protein can form homodimers or can heterodimerize with another photoreceptor, retinal degeneration slow. The ROM1 gene product is essential for disk morphogenesis, and may also function as an adhesion molecule involved in the stabilization and compaction of outer segment disks or in the maintenance of the curvature of the rim.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 6094; HGNC ID: HGNC:10254; UniProt: Q03395; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000327.4; Chromosome location: 11q12.3

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
