Human RNPS1 qPCR Primer Set – RNA binding protein with serine rich domain 1
Also known as: E5.1
About this gene: RNPS1 encodes a protein that is part of a post-splicing multiprotein complex involved in both mRNA nuclear export and mRNA surveillance. mRNA surveillance detects exported mRNAs with truncated open reading frames and initiates nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. When translation ends upstream from the last exon-exon junction, this triggers NMD to degrade mRNAs containing premature stop codons. The RNPS1 protein binds to the mRNA and remains bound after nuclear export, acting as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10921; HGNC ID: HGNC:10080; UniProt: Q15287; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_080594.4; Chromosome location: 16p13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
