SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human REST (RE1 silencing transcription factor) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human REST qPCR Primer Set – RE1 silencing transcription factor
Also known as: DFNA27, GINGF5, HGF5, NRSF, WT6, XBR
About this gene: REST was initially identified as a transcriptional repressor that represses neuronal genes in non-neuronal tissues. However, depending on the cellular context, REST can act as either an oncogene or a tumor suppressor. The REST protein belongs to the Kruppel-type zinc finger transcription factor family.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5978; HGNC ID: HGNC:9966; UniProt: Q13127; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005612.5; Chromosome location: 4q12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
