SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human UPF1 (UPF1 RNA helicase and ATPase, also called NORF1) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human UPF1 qPCR Primer Set – UPF1 RNA helicase and ATPase
Also known as: HUPF1, NORF1, RENT1, UTF, pNORF1, smg-2
About this gene: UPF1 encodes a protein that is part of a post-splicing multiprotein complex involved in both mRNA nuclear export and mRNA surveillance. mRNA surveillance detects exported mRNAs with truncated open reading frames and initiates nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. When translation ends upstream from the last exon-exon junction, this triggers NMD to degrade mRNAs containing premature stop codons. The UPF1 protein is located only in the cytoplasm.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5976; HGNC ID: HGNC:9962; UniProt: Q92900; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002911.4; Chromosome location: 19p13.11
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
