Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human DHRS9 (dehydrogenase/reductase 9, also called RDHL) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.

Human DHRS9 qPCR Primer Set – dehydrogenase/reductase 9

Also known as: 3-alpha-HSD, 3ALPHA-HSD, RDH-TBE, RDH15, RDHL, RDHTBE, RETSDR8, SDR9C4, hRoDH-E2

About this gene: DHRS9 belongs to the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases family. The DHRS9 protein has been identified as a moonlighting protein based on its ability to perform mechanistically distinct functions. The DHRS9 protein demonstrates oxidoreductase activity toward hydroxysteroids and is able to convert 3-alpha-tetrahydroprogesterone to dihydroxyprogesterone and 3-alpha-androstanediol to dihydroxyprogesterone in the cytoplasm, and may additionally function as a transcriptional repressor in the nucleus.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10170; HGNC ID: HGNC:16888; UniProt: Q9BPW9; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001376924.1; Chromosome location: 2q31.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
