SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ACSS2 (acyl-CoA synthetase short chain family member 2, also called ACS) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ACSS2 qPCR Primer Set – acyl-CoA synthetase short chain family member 2
Also known as: ACAS2, ACECS, ACS, ACSA, AceCS1, dJ1161H23.1
About this gene: ACSS2 encodes a cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the activation of acetate for use in lipid synthesis and energy generation. The protein acts as a monomer and produces acetyl-CoA from acetate in a reaction that requires ATP. Expression of ACSS2 is regulated by sterol regulatory element-binding proteins.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 55902; HGNC ID: HGNC:15814; UniProt: Q9NR19; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_018677.4; Chromosome location: 20q11.22
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
