SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human EHMT2 (euchromatic histone lysine methyltransferase 2) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human EHMT2 qPCR Primer Set – euchromatic histone lysine methyltransferase 2
Also known as: BAT8, C6orf30, G9A, GAT8, KMT1C, NG36
About this gene: EHMT2 encodes a methyltransferase that methylates lysine residues of histone H3. Methylation of H3 at lysine 9 by this protein leads to recruitment of additional epigenetic regulators and repression of transcription. EHMT2 was initially thought to be two different genes, NG36 and G9a, adjacent to each other in the HLA locus.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10919; HGNC ID: HGNC:14129; UniProt: Q96KQ7; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006709.5; Chromosome location: 6p21.33
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
