SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PTTG1 (PTTG1 regulator of sister chromatid separation, securin, also called hPTTG) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PTTG1 qPCR Primer Set – PTTG1 regulator of sister chromatid separation, securin
Also known as: EAP1, ECRAR, HPTTG, PTTG, TUTR1
About this gene: The PTTG1 protein is a homolog of yeast securin proteins, which prevent separins from promoting sister chromatid separation. The PTTG1 gene product is an anaphase-promoting complex substrate that associates with a separin until activation of the APC. The gene product has transforming activity in vitro and tumorigenic activity in vivo. The gene product contains 2 PXXP motifs, which are required for its transforming and tumorigenic activities, as well as for its stimulation of basic fibroblast growth factor expression.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9232; HGNC ID: HGNC:9690; UniProt: O95997; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004219.4; Chromosome location: 5q33.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
