Human BANF1 qPCR Primer Set – barrier to autointegration nuclear assembly factor 1
Also known as: BAF, BCRP1, D14S1460, NGPS
About this gene: The BANF1 protein was first identified by its ability to protect retroviruses from intramolecular integration and therefore promote intermolecular integration into the host cell genome. The protein forms a homodimer which localizes to both the nucleus and cytoplasm and is specifically linked to chromosomes during mitosis. The BANF1 protein binds to double stranded DNA in a non-specific manner and also binds to LEM-domain containing proteins of the nuclear envelope.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 8815; HGNC ID: HGNC:17397; UniProt: O75531; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003860.4; Chromosome location: 11q13.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
