SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PTH (parathyroid hormone, also called Parathyrin) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PTH qPCR Primer Set – parathyroid hormone
Also known as: FIH1, PTH1
About this gene: PTH belongs to the parathyroid family of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate a protein that binds to the parathyroid hormone/parathyroid hormone-related peptide receptor and regulates blood calcium and phosphate levels. Excess production of the PTH protein, known as hyperparathyroidism, can result in hypercalcemia and kidney stones.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5741; HGNC ID: HGNC:9606; UniProt: P01270; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000315.4; Chromosome location: 11p15.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
