SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PTGDS (prostaglandin D2 synthase, also called PGDS) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PTGDS qPCR Primer Set – prostaglandin D2 synthase
Also known as: L-PGDS, LPGDS, PDS, PGD2, PGDS, PGDS2
About this gene: The PTGDS protein is a glutathione-independent prostaglandin D synthase that catalyzes the conversion of prostaglandin H2 to postaglandin D2. PGD2 acts as a neuromodulator as well as a trophic factor in the central nervous system. PGD2 is also involved in smooth muscle contraction/relaxation and is a potent inhibitor of platelet aggregation.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5730; HGNC ID: HGNC:9592; UniProt: P41222; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000954.6; Chromosome location: 9q34.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
