SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PTEN (phosphatase and tensin homolog, also called MMAC1) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PTEN qPCR Primer Set – phosphatase and tensin homolog
Also known as: 10q23del, BZS, CWS1, DEC, GLM2, MHAM, MMAC1, PTEN1, PTENbeta, PTENgama, TEP1
About this gene: PTEN was identified as a tumor suppressor that is mutated in a large number of cancers at high frequency. The PTEN protein is a phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate 3-phosphatase. The PTEN gene product contains a tensin like domain as well as a catalytic domain similar to that of the dual specificity protein tyrosine phosphatases.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5728; HGNC ID: HGNC:9588; UniProt: P60484; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000314.8; Chromosome location: 10q23.31
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
