SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human ACOT8 (acyl-CoA thioesterase 8, also called hTE) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human ACOT8 qPCR Primer Set – acyl-CoA thioesterase 8
Also known as: HNAACTE, NAP1, PTE-1, PTE-2, PTE1, PTE2, hACTE-III, hTE
About this gene: The ACOT8 protein is a peroxisomal thioesterase that appears to be involved more in the oxidation of fatty acids rather than in their formation. The ACOT8 protein can bind to the human immunodeficiency virus-1 protein Nef, and mediate Nef-induced down-regulation of CD4 in T-cells.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10005; HGNC ID: HGNC:15919; UniProt: O14734; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005469.4; Chromosome location: 20q13.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
