Human PTAFR qPCR Primer Set – platelet activating factor receptor

Also known as: PAFR

About this gene: PTAFR encodes a seven-transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptor for platelet-activating factor that localizes to lipid rafts and/or caveolae in the cell membrane. PAF is a phospholipid that plays a significant role in oncogenic transformation, tumor growth, angiogenesis, metastasis, and pro-inflammatory processes. Binding of PAF to the PAF-receptor stimulates numerous signal transduction pathways including phospholipase C, D, A2, mitogen-activated protein kinases, and the phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5724; HGNC ID: HGNC:9582; UniProt: P25105; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000952.5; Chromosome location: 1p35.3

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
