Human PSG2 qPCR Primer Set – pregnancy specific beta-1-glycoprotein 2

Also known as: CEA, PSBG2, PSG1

About this gene: The human pregnancy-specific glycoproteins are a family of proteins that are synthesized in large amounts by placental trophoblasts and released into the maternal circulation during pregnancy. Molecular cloning and analysis of multiple PSG genes has indicated that the PSGs form a subgroup of the carcinoembryonic antigen gene family, which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily of genes. Members of the CEA family consist of a single N domain, with structural similarity to the immunoglobulin variable domains, followed by a variable number of immunoglobulin constant-like A and/or B domains.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5670; HGNC ID: HGNC:9519; UniProt: P11465; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_031246.4; Chromosome location: 19q13.31

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
