SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PSEN2 (presenilin 2, also called AD5) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PSEN2 qPCR Primer Set – presenilin 2
Also known as: AD3L, AD4, CMD1V, PS2, STM2
About this gene: Alzheimer's disease patients with an inherited form of the disease carry mutations in the presenilin proteins or the amyloid precursor protein. These disease-linked mutations result in increased production of the longer form of amyloid-beta. Presenilins are postulated to regulate APP processing through their effects on gamma-secretase, an enzyme that cleaves APP. Also, it is thought that the presenilins are involved in the cleavage of the Notch receptor such that.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5664; HGNC ID: HGNC:9509; UniProt: P49810; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000447.3; Chromosome location: 1q42.13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
