SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PRPS1 (phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate synthetase 1, also called PRS-I) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PRPS1 qPCR Primer Set – phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate synthetase 1
Also known as: ARTS, CMTX5, DFN2, DFNX1, PPRibP, PRS-I, PRSI
About this gene: PRPS1 encodes a enzyme that catalyzes the phosphoribosylation of ribose 5-phosphate to 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate, which is necessary for purine metabolism and nucleotide biosynthesis. Defects in PRPS1 are a cause of phosphoribosylpyrophosphate synthetase superactivity, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease X-linked recessive type 5 and Arts Syndrome.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5631; HGNC ID: HGNC:9462; UniProt: P60891; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002764.4; Chromosome location: Xq22.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
