Human PROZ qPCR Primer Set – protein Z, vitamin K dependent plasma glycoprotein
Also known as: PZ
About this gene: PROZ encodes a liver vitamin K-dependent glycoprotein that is synthesized in the liver and secreted into the plasma. The PROZ protein is involved in regulating blood coagulation by complexing with protein Z-dependent protease inhibitor to directly inhibit activated factor X at the phospholipid surface. Deficiencies in this protein are linked to an increased risk of ischemic arterial diseases and fetal loss.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 8858; HGNC ID: HGNC:9460; UniProt: P22891; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_003891.3; Chromosome location: 13q34
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
