Human PROM1 qPCR Primer Set – prominin 1
Also known as: AC133, CD133, CORD12, MCDR2, MSTP061, PROML1, RP41, STGD4
About this gene: PROM1 encodes a pentaspan transmembrane glycoprotein. The protein localizes to membrane protrusions and is often expressed on adult stem cells, where it is believed to function in maintaining stem cell properties by suppressing differentiation. Mutations in PROM1 have been shown to result in retinitis pigmentosa and Stargardt disease.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 8842; HGNC ID: HGNC:9454; UniProt: O43490; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006017.3; Chromosome location: 4p15.32
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
