SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PRODH2 (proline dehydrogenase 2, also called HYPDH) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human PRODH2 qPCR Primer Set – proline dehydrogenase 2
Also known as: HDXPRO, HSPOX1, HYPDH
About this gene: The PRODH2 protein catalyzes the first step in the catabolism of trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline, an amino acid derivative obtained through food intake and collagen turnover. One of the downstream products of this catabolism is glyoxylate, which in people with disorders of glyoxalate metabolism can lead to an increase in oxalate levels and the formation of calcium-oxalate kidney stones. Therefore, PRODH2 may serve as a therapeutic target against primary hyperoxalurias.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 58510; HGNC ID: HGNC:17325; UniProt: Q9UF12; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_021232.2; Chromosome location: 19q13.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
