SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PROC (protein C, inactivator of coagulation factors Va and VIIIa) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PROC qPCR Primer Set – protein C, inactivator of coagulation factors Va and VIIIa
Also known as: APC, PC, PROC1, THPH3, THPH4
About this gene: PROC encodes a vitamin K-dependent plasma glycoprotein. The PROC protein is cleaved to its activated form by the thrombin-thrombomodulin complex. This activated form contains a serine protease domain and functions in degradation of the activated forms of coagulation factors V and VIII. Mutations in PROC have been linked to thrombophilia due to protein C deficiency, neonatal purpura fulminans.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5624; HGNC ID: HGNC:9451; UniProt: P04070; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000312.4; Chromosome location: 2q14.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
