SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PRM2 (protamine 2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PRM2 qPCR Primer Set – protamine 2
Also known as: CT94.2
About this gene: Protamines substitute for histones in the chromatin of sperm during the haploid phase of spermatogenesis, and are the major DNA-binding proteins in the nucleus of sperm in many vertebrates. They package the sperm DNA into a highly condensed complex in a volume less than 5% of a somatic cell nucleus. Many mammalian species have only one protamine; however, a few species, including human and mouse, have two.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5620; HGNC ID: HGNC:9448; UniProt: P04554; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002762.4; Chromosome location: 16p13.13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
