About this gene: The EIF2AK2 protein is a serine/threonine protein kinase that is activated by autophosphorylation after binding to dsRNA. The activated form of the EIF2AK2 protein can phosphorylate translation initiation factor EIF2S1, which in turn inhibits protein synthesis. The EIF2AK2 protein is also activated by manganese ions and heparin. The EIF2AK2 protein is important for the innate immune response against multiple DNA and RNA viruses.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
