Human PRKAG2 qPCR Primer Set – protein kinase AMP-activated non-catalytic subunit gamma 2
Also known as: AAKG, AAKG2, CMH6, GSDH, H91620p, WPWS
About this gene: AMP-activated protein kinase is a heterotrimeric protein composed of a catalytic alpha subunit, a noncatalytic beta subunit, and a noncatalytic regulatory gamma subunit. Various forms of each of these subunits exist, encoded by different genes. AMPK is an important energy-sensing enzyme that monitors cellular energy status and functions by inactivating key enzymes involved in regulating de novo biosynthesis of fatty acid and cholesterol.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 51422; HGNC ID: HGNC:9386; UniProt: Q9UGJ0; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_016203.4; Chromosome location: 7q36.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
