SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PRG2 (proteoglycan 2, pro eosinophil major basic protein, also called BMPG) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PRG2 qPCR Primer Set – proteoglycan 2, pro eosinophil major basic protein
Also known as: BMPG, MBP, MBP1, proMBP
About this gene: The PRG2 protein is the predominant constituent of the crystalline core of the eosinophil granule. High levels of the proform of this protein are also present in placenta and pregnancy serum, where it exists as a complex with multiple other proteins including pregnancy-associated plasma protein A, angiotensinogen, and C3dg. The PRG2 protein may be involved in antiparasitic defense mechanisms as a cytotoxin and helminthotoxin, and in immune hypersensitivity reactions.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5553; HGNC ID: HGNC:9362; UniProt: P13727; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002728.6; Chromosome location: 11q12.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
