SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PRDX1 (peroxiredoxin 1, also called PAG) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PRDX1 qPCR Primer Set – peroxiredoxin 1
Also known as: MSP23, NKEF-A, NKEFA, PAG, PAGA, PAGB, PRX1, PRXI, TDPX2
About this gene: PRDX1 belongs to the peroxiredoxin family of antioxidant enzymes, which reduce hydrogen peroxide and alkyl hydroperoxides. The PRDX1 protein may play an antioxidant protective role in cells, and may contribute to the antiviral activity of CD8 T-cells. The PRDX1 protein may have a proliferative effect and play a role in cancer development or progression.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5052; HGNC ID: HGNC:9352; UniProt: Q06830; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_181697.3; Chromosome location: 1p34.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
