About this gene: The PRDM9 protein is a zinc finger protein with histone methyltransferase activity that catalyzes histone H3 lysine 4 trimethylation during meiotic prophase. The PRDM9 protein contains multiple domains, including a Kruppel-associated box domain, an SSX repression domain, a PRD1-BF1 and RIZ homologous region, a subclass of SET domain, and a tandem array of C2H2 zinc fingers. The zinc finger array recognizes a short sequence motif, leading to local H3K4me3, and meiotic recombination hotspot activity.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
