Human PRDM8 qPCR Primer Set – PR/SET domain 8
Also known as: EPM10, KMT8D, PFM5
About this gene: PRDM8 encodes a protein that belongs to a conserved family of histone methyltransferases that predominantly act as negative regulators of transcription. The PRDM8 protein contains an N-terminal Su3-9, Enhancer-of-zeste, and Trithorax domain and a double zinc-finger domain. Knockout of PRDM8 in mouse leads to mistargeting by neurons of the dorsal telencephalon, abnormal itch-like behavior, and impaired differentiation of rod bipolar cells.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 56978; HGNC ID: HGNC:13993; UniProt: Q9NQV8; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001099403.2; Chromosome location: 4q21.21
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
