SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PRDM2 (PR/SET domain 2, also called MTB-ZF) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PRDM2 qPCR Primer Set – PR/SET domain 2
Also known as: HUMHOXY1, KMT8, KMT8A, MTB-ZF, RIZ, RIZ1, RIZ2
About this gene: This tumor suppressor gene belongs to a nuclear histone/protein methyltransferase superfamily. The PRDM2 gene product encodes a zinc finger protein that can bind to retinoblastoma protein, estrogen receptor, and the TPA-responsive element of the heme-oxygenase-1 gene. Although the functions of this protein have not been fully characterized, it may play a role in transcriptional regulation during neuronal differentiation and pathogenesis of retinoblastoma, act as a transcriptional activator of the heme-oxygenase-1 gene.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 7799; HGNC ID: HGNC:9347; UniProt: Q13029; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001393986.1; Chromosome location: 1p36.21
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
