Human PPT1 qPCR Primer Set – palmitoyl-protein thioesterase 1
Also known as: CLN1, INCL, PPT
About this gene: The PPT1 protein is a small glycoprotein involved in the catabolism of lipid-modified proteins during lysosomal degradation. The encoded enzyme removes thioester-linked fatty acyl groups such as palmitate from cysteine residues. Defects in PPT1 are a cause of infantile neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis 1 and neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis 4.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5538; HGNC ID: HGNC:9325; UniProt: P50897; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000310.4; Chromosome location: 1p34.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
