Human PPARA qPCR Primer Set – peroxisome proliferator activated receptor alpha

Also known as: NR1C1, PPAR, PPAR-alpha, PPARalpha, hPPAR

About this gene: Peroxisome proliferators include hypolipidemic drugs, herbicides, leukotriene antagonists, and plasticizers; this term arises because they induce an increase in the size and number of peroxisomes. Peroxisomes are subcellular organelles found in plants and animals that contain enzymes for respiration and for cholesterol and lipid metabolism. The action of peroxisome proliferators is believed to be mediated via specific receptors, called PPARs, which belong to the steroid hormone receptor superfamily.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5465; HGNC ID: HGNC:9232; UniProt: Q07869; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005036.6; Chromosome location: 22q13.31

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
