About this gene: PON3 belongs to the paraoxonase family and lies in a cluster on chromosome 7 with the other two family members. The PON3 protein is secreted into the bloodstream and associates with high-density lipoprotein. The protein also rapidly hydrolyzes lactones and can inhibit the oxidation of low-density lipoprotein, a function that is believed to slow the initiation and progression of atherosclerosis.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
