SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human POLH (DNA polymerase eta) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human POLH qPCR Primer Set – DNA polymerase eta
Also known as: RAD30, RAD30A, XP-V, XPV
About this gene: POLH belongs to the Y family of specialized DNA polymerases. The POLH gene product copies undamaged DNA with a lower fidelity than other DNA-directed polymerases. However, it accurately replicates UV-damaged DNA; when thymine dimers are present, this polymerase inserts the complementary nucleotides in the newly synthesized DNA, thereby bypassing the lesion and suppressing the mutagenic effect of UV-induced DNA damage.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5429; HGNC ID: HGNC:9181; UniProt: Q9Y253; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006502.3; Chromosome location: 6p21.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
