About this gene: PMVK encodes a peroxisomal enzyme that belongs to the galactokinase, homoserine kinase, mevalonate kinase, and phosphomevalonate kinase family of ATP-dependent enzymes. The PMVK protein catalyzes the conversion of mevalonate 5-phosphate to mevalonate 5-diphosphate, which is the fifth step in the mevalonate pathway of isoprenoid biosynthesis. Mutations in PMVK are linked to certain types of porokeratosis including disseminated superficial porokeratosis.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
