About this gene: The PMP2 protein localizes to myelin sheaths of the peripheral nervous system. The PMP2 protein can bind both the membrane layers of the sheaths and monomeric lipids, and is believed to provide stability to the sheath. A defect in PMP2 was shown to be a cause of dominant demyelinating CMT neuropathy.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
