SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human BPIFA1 (BPI fold containing family A member 1, also called SPLUNC1) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human BPIFA1 qPCR Primer Set – BPI fold containing family A member 1
Also known as: LUNX, NASG, PLUNC, SPLUNC1, SPURT, bA49G10.5
About this gene: BPIFA1 is the human homolog of murine plunc, and like the mouse gene, is specifically expressed in the upper airways and nasopharyngeal regions. The encoded antimicrobial protein displays antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria. The BPIFA1 gene product is believed to be involved in inflammatory responses to irritants in the upper airways and may also serve as a potential molecular marker for detection of micrometastasis in non-small-cell lung cancer.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 51297; HGNC ID: HGNC:15749; UniProt: Q9NP55; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_130852.3; Chromosome location: 20q11.21
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
