SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PLP1 (proteolipid protein 1, also called PLP) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PLP1 qPCR Primer Set – proteolipid protein 1
Also known as: GPM6C, HLD1, MMPL, PLP, PLP/DM20, PMD, SPG2
About this gene: PLP1 encodes a transmembrane proteolipid protein that is the predominant component of myelin. The PLP1 protein may play a role in the compaction, stabilization, and maintenance of myelin sheaths, as well as in oligodendrocyte development and axonal survival. Mutations in PLP1 cause Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease and spastic paraplegia type 2.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5354; HGNC ID: HGNC:9086; UniProt: P60201; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000533.5; Chromosome location: Xq22.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
